Celebrating Eric Cooley: Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate 

Our director of Pastoral Ministry, Eric Cooley, will be ordained into the Permanent Diaconate during Mass at 10 AM Saturday, December 7, at the Cathedral of St. Paul. We encourage any and all parishioners to attend and congratulate Eric on the culmination of almost five years of study and discernment. 

Note that the Cathedral has limited parking, and there is an entire class of diaconate candidates getting ordained on this day. Plan your timing and parking accordingly. 

Then, be sure to mark your calendars for a celebration of Deacon Eric on December 22 back here at Saint John's. He will assist at the 8:30 AM Mass that Sunday, followed by a reception in the Gathering Space at 9:30 AM. 

Please keep Eric in your prayers as he responds to God's calling and awaits assignment, as well as praying for an outpouring of vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life and holy marriages.
