The Culture of Life Committee strives to help the parish build a culture that cherishes every human life from the moment of conception until natural death. Saint Teresa of Calcutta said,
“God has invested all his love in creating human life. That is why we are not entitled to destroy it, especially we who know that Christ died for the salvation of that life. Christ has died and has given everything for that child.”
The committee meets on the second Monday of every month at 2:00 pm to plan Respect Life events and to host activities with a variety of speakers, displaying a table with beginning-of-life to end-of-life information, praying extended adoration hours on special feast days, and holding a monthly prayerful presence at Planned Parenthood in Little Canada at Rice St. and Highway 36.
To engage the parish in recognizing God’s gift of life and supporting the Culture of Life from conception to natural death
Each month, the Culture of Life Committee of Saint John's gathers on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. They meet outside of the Planned Parenthood located in Little Canada at Rice St. and Highway 36 from 11 AM to noon. This peaceful protest is highlighted by praying for the unborn babies, along with their mothers and fathers. All are welcome to join us to pray! In the case of inclement weather, we will gather in the church to pray for support of the culture of life.
