Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

First, please know that in these uncertain times, you are at the top of my thoughts and prayers. It is hard to not be able to be physically together, but spiritually God unites us all. As we enter this Fifth Week in Lent, we find ourselves in a "shelter in place" status. In accordance with the recommendation of the Archdiocese, our parish office building will be closed, effective now through at least Good Friday, April 10. However staff will be responding to email and answering their phone messages throughout this time.

This time of uncertainty is a humble lesson in patience and obedience--and it innately coaxes us out of our comfort zone. In keeping with that, we are trying something new tonight, and we hope you all will join us as we stream 4:30 PM Mass  live on Facebook.

I would like to thank all those who helped make this Mass possible: Mark McSherry, our lector; Ryan Chimzar, our cantor; and Becky Brown, our accompanist. And a special thanks to Dick Thomalla, who helped to set up the sound, including setting up the organ on our mic system.

As I mentioned, the Parish Office building will be closed for the next two weeks, but you can still reach us for Confessions, Pastoral care and Annointings, as needed. Additionally, our Church activities are slightly altered. First, there were some errors to the bulletin this weekend: There will be no Adoration on weekdays through April 10, and there is, of course, no weekend Mass next week.

Church schedule through April 10

• Open for private prayer 8:30 AM to Noon Monday through Saturday
• Individual confessions 10-11 AM Tuesday through Saturday

Lastly, please join me in the sundry ways Coronavirus is offering a special type of Lenten sacrifice. Be safe, think of others, and be well. Let us continue to remember in prayer all of those affected by the virus, especially the sick, the brave healthcare workers, and the many struggling through the economic downturn of the past week.
