The 2nd Sunday of Easter, April 11, is Divine Mercy Sunday. During his homily at the canonization of Saint Faustina in April, 2000, Saint Pope John Paul II declared:
Join us at 3 PM in the church for Eucharistic Exposition, Adoration & Benediction, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.“It is important then that we accept the whole message that comes to us from the word of God on this Second Sunday of Easter, which from now on through the Church, will be called ‘Divine Mercy Sunday.’”
