First, please know that in these uncertain times, you are at the top of my thoughts and prayers. It is hard to not be able to be physically together, but spiritually God unites us all. Despite the challenges of these past few weeks, we have some good news to share: The success of our recent Strengthened in Faith Capital Campaign has put Saint John’s Parish in a position to pay off the existing mortgage. We hope to do that this summer, when the current financial uncertainty in our community settles down.
In anticipation of paying off the mortgage, we have removed this option from the weekly and monthly envelopes, effective beginning in April/May. We cannot thank you enough for giving so faithfully and regularly.
During these difficult times, the financial resources of the parish are being stressed. If you are able, we urge you to maintain your current level of giving, or perhaps consider increasing it if you can, to continue to aid the areas of greatest need in our Parish. Please consider redirecting your current Mortgage Fund contribution to one of the other areas listed on your envelopes. The Sunday Offering is especially challenged right now.
Even with Masses suspended, there are still salaries and operational expenses at both the church and the school. Both church and school benefit greatly from the weekly collection offerings from our generous Parishioners. There are three primary ways you can continue to give:
1. Give online through Vanco: There are quick-links active on our website’s homepage and Coronavirus sub-page now.
2. Mail your contribution to the Parish Office: 380 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117
3. Drop check or cash off in the secure lock box at the Parish Office (between the front doors).
